An Ypsilanti native, Carolyn has a B.A. in art from Eastern Michigan University. She has been working primarily in pastels for almost 20 years and enjoys working both plein air and in her studio. The play of light and shadow grabs her attention, but it is the variety of textures and colors found in nature that continues to be her source of inspiration. She participates in several art fairs a year including the Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair and the Chelsea Painters Art Fair. She also teaches the occasional workshop. www.carolynweins.com
